SLOW ’s Muttersprache & neue Tour 2020

LARUS & SLOW Tour 2020 Banner

SLOW just dropped a new video from her studiosession

Singer and songwriter SLOW is singing and playing the banjo on her original "note to self"

SLOW fans rejoice! A new song has been released on YouTube called „Note To Self“.

The singer and songwriter sings about life when overworking is daily business. After studying she felt stuck in her love to creating and performing music, it seemed like her brain had taken the wheel. A wonderful journey of learning to live through music and letting compositions come through started when she changed flats and started spending her time gardening and going for long walks in the nature.

Video release of „Rabbit Heart“ April 5th

SLOW concert Portrait

It’s been a wonderful SLOWconcerts tour last autumn visiting several families in their living rooms and playing my originals. Touring across Germany the final concert we’ve recorded in a cosy studio in Berlin surrounded by friends and family who supported me over the last 10+ years. It’s been a great pleasure to have all of them packed in a room and give back the songs that were inspired by experiences with them, chats and shared thoughts. The song „Rabbit Heart“ represents a very deep topic that I’ve often discussed with dear friends and still we’re not finished… seems like getting in touch with fear is a life lesson… Check the Video on YouTube

Stay tuned- slow peeps, wishing you a wonderful springtime!

slow process

dear slow peeps,

time is running so fast these days and there were so many slow things happening… We were shooting live videos for „slow acoustic sessions“ in spring and I’ve finished the booking for „SLOW concerts“ in October 2018. My baby Banjolina, my „honey“ frame drum and me will travel many places in east Germany- tiny villages and small towns to play the living rooms of friends and family. We are very excited about this adventure : ) and of course we’ll take the long way via train… by the way- I adore train rides!!! How about you? I’m wishing you a great start into summer and stay tuned for the release of the acoustic videos that are coming out soon! Let’s slow down and enjoy life as much as we can! xxx

SLOW- on the upcoming EP „If I Knew“ September 2017

On the publication of the EP „If I Knew“ – 20 September 2017

SLOW’s EP „If I Knew“ is ready for release. With this exciting and conscious step forward, the songwriter, who hails from Brandenburg and lives in Berlin, interweaves minimalistic waltzes, melancholy ballads, pared- down textures and graceful soul to perfect and authentic original songs about love, family and social injustice.

Produced by SLOW and her band colleagues, the drummer Chris Farr (Johnny A), bassist Rene Flächsenhaar (Yvonne Catterfeld, Namika) and Sebastian Strahl, Piano and Rhodes „If I knew“ offers four of SLOW’s self-written songs.Musically speaking, SLOW makes its sound on the current EP by leaving space open; artful, self-assured yet feeling together. The subtly sketched character of this song selection presents the probably balanced, aural void in the interplay with small details, in which the earthy, decelerated soundscapes create a gently shimmering backdrop for the distinctively springy and velvety soft voice of SLOW. Titles such as „Believer“ or „If I Knew“ stimulate the listener with content and base the experience in richness and weight.

„The silent observation of life“ and „the recognition of patterns“ is the basis of the EP, explains SLOW. „In deceleration, a kind of auditory mindfulness can be used to reflect and transform experience“. SLOW, with her charismatic stage presence and history of fruitful collaborations with for example Johanna Borchert and Yemen Blues have performed at the Berlin Jazz club A-Trane, the Jena Philharmonic as well as many other venues in and outside Europe.

German version „Zur Veröffentlichung der EP ‚If I Knew'“

If I Knew

lyrics by slow

If I could say what love is
I wouldn’t speak anymore
If I could see what love is
I wouldn’t look anymore

If I knew what love was
My heart wouldn’t beat anymore, couldn’t beat anymore
If I knew what love was
I wouldn’t breathe anymore

If I could say what I feel
You wouldn’t listen to me
If I could show what I feel
You wouldn’t look at me

If I knew what love was
My heart wouldn’t beat anymore, couldn’t beat anymore
If I knew what love was
I wouldn’t breathe anymore

I went up and down you were always around
Tell me how can I leave you behind
I wish that I could see you don’t belong to me
So that i could find peace of mind

If I knew what love was
My heart wouldn’t beat anymore, couldn’t beat anymore
If I knew what love was
I wouldn’t breathe anymore
